A Wildlife Garden

A wildlife garden is a place

With little need of care

"Do Not Disturb" the motto

As long as you can bear

A world of slugs and snails

Hedgehogs, frogs and toads

Bats and birds and squirrels

And insects by the loads

Be careful of the woodpile

The compost heap as well

It's in these places you will find

The smaller creatures dwell

Clear any man-made rubbish

Leave the chemicals behind

This will restore the balance

Of the garden you will find

Provide a pool of water

Berries, fruit and seeds

A safe and sheltered garden

That's all that wildlife needs

A cool and shady arbour

A seat where you can rest

Watch your wildlife visitors
